Here we are on July 25th, 2012, and great things are happening at Intalogix!  We are in expansion mode in Kennesaw, Georgia, and have recently brought on two new hires that are sure to help the company grow and expand market share rapidly.  This help is sorely needed because of the new products and additions the company has planned for implementation later this year.

Intalogix is also beginning execution of a grand plan for increasing our web presence and communication with clients.  We have plans for creating a bi-monthly newsletter to keep people aware of the happenings at Intalogix and any recent changes or updates in the industry.  This will be a great way for existing customers and clients to stay informed about the company and anything that may concern them, while also letting them know about any new products that may be coming out down the line.  There are always better ways of doing things, and Intalogix is a company that always strives to be on the cutting edge with information technology and how it can benefit our clients.

We at Intalogix are always open to our customers, and we are interested in hearing about any concerns or issues that may be coming up that have impacted you.  The best way for us to improve our company and products is through a mutual “collaboration” with our customers, where we are constantly striving to improve our products in order to make them better and easier to use.  So feel free to contact us through email, online chat, or phone and let us know of any concerns you may be having!

The management at Intalogix has great plans for the company, and with a tight-knit group of employees we can go far!  The CEO, Marquel Underwood, is planning upcoming leadership and team building trips within the company in order to establish better unity and business skills that will be needed to grow the company as fast as we are looking to without sacrificing any of our excellent customer service that is already in place.  More on that as all of the details are ironed out!

Intalogix is excited to be at this place in this moment of time as we work hard to bring the company name to a level that will be recognizable by most as the industry leader and absolute best customer service!  Whether it is produce software, seafood software, meat software, or something else, our goal is to be able to provide our customers with the perfect product for them at the perfect time!

Seafood Distribution Software and how it can help Your Business

The seafood industry is definitely for early risers, as there is much work to get done in order to prepare for the day.  The fishermen are out during the early morning hours trying to catch as much as they can to sell at the daily fish market, the distributors and buyers are at the docks waiting for the boats to arrive with their catch, and the restaurant and grocery store workers or owners are trying to purchase what they need in order to serve their customers.  At least that’s how the industry works for some…  Having the proper seafood distribution software can really help your business thrive while reducing  man-hours!

Of course there are many chefs who like to personally pick out and inspect their seafood items before buying, but there are also many who would prefer to simply log into their computer, view the item online, and purchase it that way!  Once a customer becomes established with a distributor, they tend to know the quality of their customer service and delivered food items.  If they are satisfied, then they are more apt to order online since it is more convenient for them and they have a good rapport with the distributor.

A quality seafood distribution software system can help reduce a company’s customer service expenses by not needing to hire a huge phone support department that can handle customer orders all day long.  Employees add a big expense to any business, especially with having to provide benefits, vacation days, holidays, and other common perks.  The internet is king today, and the company who does not have a strong presence online with a superb ordering system is at a great disadvantage.

For the average buyer, being able to go to a seafood distributor’s website at 2:00 a.m., view selections, and choose products to purchase is a huge benefit!  Being able to work when they want to work, instead of only the hours that customer ordering support is offered, can bring relief and a sense of personal freedom.  They can also take their time in selecting just the right products that they might need, and can also visually verify the order before submitting it to the company.

Customer service and ordering are just two areas that a good seafood distribution software system can tackle for a company, but they are not the only two.  There are many accounting and inventory functions that it can handle that involve repetitive and detailed work, and require a great deal of accuracy.  No one wants to get afoul of the IRS or other government agency because of a simple miscalculation or other error!

There are many companies still in this industry that do things by hand and work very much without a net…  They keep life very low tech, and try not to involve themselves with computers and software.  However, the company that wants to grow and expand their customer base will definitely be in the forefront when it comes to finding and working with a seafood distribution software system!  Doing the right research and making sure the software does everything needed and does not include functions that are not needed is a good start for a company just beginning to search available options.

Intalogix OneLink Technology and How it Can Help Food Service Distributors

The food service industry is a multi-billion dollar a year niche that is dependent on a steady and reliable supply of restaurant items on a daily basis from distributors around the world.  Without a good supply of various produce, meat, and other types of food at the right price, restaurants would soon go out of business.  This is also a tough industry with lots of competition, so having and utilizing the right tools and ordering processes can mean the difference between surviving and failing.

Intalogix Corporation has been around the industry since conception in the year 2000, and they have developed a unique software online ordering system for restaurants and distributors.  It’s very important for a restaurant to easily order needed food items on a daily basis with the least amount of complication and hardship.  There are many types and varieties of food service distributors around the world, and it takes the average restaurant owner a good deal of time to investigate, review, and order what is needed from each individual distributor.  Having all of this information available in one place inside of an online ordering system can be a definite time saver and hassle reducer for restaurant owners, and also provides the distributor with orders they might not receive otherwise.

For any company today, hiring and maintaining a large customer support department can be one of the largest expenses and headaches.  Finding the right people, paying them, and keeping them properly trained for constant industry updates is always a challenge.  Utilizing a software tool that can help to eliminate or reduce the size of a customer support department can save a company a great deal of time and money.

The Intalogix Corporation, based in Kennesaw, Georgia, has just the software ordering system needed to help a food service restaurant or distributor thrive in this competitive industry.  The OneLink web based order entry software system is the world’s first foodservice and distribution online ordering system that is written totally using Microsoft .NET technology, and is an industry leader.  It is intended for use by distributors to gain access to a vast database of clients and restaurant owners that need to order their products on a daily basis.  This one touch access to ordering everything that a client needs means higher ease of ordering, and also a larger volume of orders that come in.

A happier customer who can order any time of day or night is also a customer that may be loyal for a very long time, which is especially important in this industry.  Picking up a phone and calling a customer service department during the hours that they are open can be a very time consuming process.  The average call takes around five minutes or so, and with higher call volumes it may also mean more wasted time waiting to speak to a customer service representative.  During the course of an hour, one customer service representative can therefore only take around twelve orders, whereas the number of orders taken through the use of the Intalogix OneLink online ordering system is unlimited!

With the rapid pace of today’s technology and the acceptance and expectation of such tools, it is almost a requirement for a growing company to implement a good online ordering software system to be able to stay in business.  Convenience and ease of use are very important to the consumer today, and any technology that helps provide this service is very useful.  Intalogix Corporation has the perfect tool for any restaurant or distributor to better provide for their business needs.

Food Distribution Software Affordable Solutions

The average grocery store visitor or restaurant goer usually takes for granted the food purchased or delivered to their table, without a worry or care about how that food gets to them.  For those of us in the industry however, we know the various steps or processes it takes for a head of lettuce to get from the farm to our local grocery store or restaurant, and we appreciate the work involved.  Automating some of those processes can really help a company’s bottom line, and finding a great food distribution software solution is one of the first steps.

Food distribution involves a supply chain strategy that will load the actual produce, meat, or other food supplies onto the trucks at the farmer’s location, and usually bring it to an intermediary company or distributor that takes orders from restaurants and grocery stores that in turn resell it to the public.  Farmers will grow their crops, arrange for contracts to sell their products, and also make arrangements to ship them to the distributor.  The crops need to arrive in optimal condition, so time is always a crucial ingredient to this supply chain formula.

On the other hand, distributors must know ahead of time who they are going to resell the crops to once they are delivered, and try to get them out of the warehouse usually the same day.  Produce and other food items are highly perishable and can rapidly be rendered useless as food in a short period of time, so expedience is a necessity in this business.

For a distributor to know ahead of time what he has orders for and is selling, and what he needs to order from the farms is crucial in order to maintain a thriving business.  The right food distribution software can help keep a company right on target with its incoming orders from the stores and restaurants and also to make sure that purchased inventory is not slowly rotting away on the shelves while awaiting shipment.

There are several different solutions in the marketplace for food distribution software and it is important for a company to know what things are important for them that the software needs to be able to do, and what things they do not need or can do without.  For instance, is the most important activity the food distribution software needs to do is provide an online ordering solution?  Does it need to provide a customer service support system?  How about back end reporting aspects to help your company ensure timely and accurate ongoing processes?

For a company to move confidently and securely into the future they have to know what is happening today and have a system in place to make changes along the way to improve customer service, sales, and invoicing.  Choosing a good food distribution software solution can take some research and study to make sure that it does everything needed for fast growth.  Some solutions have many more functionalities or “bells and whistles” than what is needed, and can also be much more expensive because of it.  Be sure to do your proper due diligence to ensure you get exactly what you need and no more.  Paying for unnecessary functions or tools does not make good business sense.
